This step-by-step guide will show you how to install the EcoPro Caravan Insulation Kit beneath your static caravan or park home.
Many static caravans have little or no insulation underneath the floor, which can lead to cold floors, draughts and increased heat loss. EcoPro provides a thin, continuous layer of reflective insulation beneath the caravan, helping retain warmth during winter and create a more comfortable living space throughout the year.
Prepare Beneath the Caravan

ore starting, check that the underside of the caravan is dry, accessible and free from any loose materials. Identify the timber floor joists, pipework, cables, ventilation openings and support points.
Make sure the caravan is stable and never rely on a jack alone while working underneath it.
Position the Insulation

Roll out the EcoPro Insulation across the underside of the timber floor joists. The insulation can be installed horizontally or vertically, depending on the available space and the layout of the caravan.
Its imporatant that the insulation is installed as a continuous layer, with 50mm overlaps
Staple the Insulation

Staple the Insulation directly to the underside of the timber joists using the staple gun and 14mm staples provided in the kit.
We recommend to staple at a maximum of 300mm intervals. With considerably more around the perimeter.
Cut Around Pipework and Supports

Carefully measure and mark the position of any pipework, supports or other obstructions. Use the cutting knife provided or Multifoil Insulation Scissors to cut the material neatly around them.
Do not cover ventilation openings, drainage points or areas that may require future access.
Tape the Perimeter

Once all the insulation is securely stapled into position, use ThermaSeal Foil Joining Tape to seal around the perimeter. Press the tape firmly into place to create a neat finish and help reduce draughts and moisture ingress around the edges.
We recommend not tape the 50mm overlaps between sections.
